Webinar: The State of Nutrition in the US

Obesity rates in the US just surpassed 38% — up from 35% in 2012.

Despite increasing investments in wellness programs, behavior change has been difficult to achieve. The fact of the matter is, what we’re doing to encourage wellness isn’t meeting expectations and hasn’t turned the tide on the obesity epidemic.

According to expert studies, poor nutrition has a larger impact on health status than many other factors.

In this webinar, we will focus on why the nutrition components in these programs haven’t been effective. Our speakers will explore:

  • The increasing burden nutrition-related diseases place on healthcare costs to employers, health plans, and individuals;
  • The barriers to change; and
  • Some cutting-edge approaches that are at the forefront of improving individual eating habits.
